AMAM observes National Road Safety Week

Adventure and Motorsports Association Mokokchung (AMAM) observed the 30th National Road Safety Week in collaboration with Transport Office Mokokchung on Saturday.

A press release from AMAM media cell stated that, B. Chekum Chang, Road Safety Enforcement Officer (RSEO), Mokokchung reported that there were nine road incident reports received by the department in 2018. 

He also added that the National Road Safety Week initiative was observed to make public aware of road safety.

Members from AMAM and transport officials initiated a sticker and banner campaign to mark the event. 

More than 900 stickers were pasted on vehicles at various locations to spread awareness about the Road Safety Week. Banners were also placed at strategic locations around Mokokchung town

AMAM, as an active motorsports association in the district, took up this campaign as a social responsibility to sensitize both pedestrians and drivers on road safety measures.
